Microneedling is an excellent treatment which resurfaces the skin without laser or surgery and minimal downtime. What Can I Expect Post A Microneedling Treatment?

The inflammatory reaction of the skin is extremely short and fades significantly within hours from redness to pinkness that may last for 12 to 48 hours. In order to reduce visible redness, we recommend hyaluronic acid after the procedure and to protect the skin with zinc-based sunblock (though sunscreen of some kind is a must every day!). 

Is the treatment painful? 

Traditional dermal rolling techniques proved to be a bloody and painful treatment, requiring the application of topical anaesthetic cream before treatments. What Benefits Does Microneedling Have On The Skin?

Microneedling improves skin texture and reduces the appearance of scars. It also stimulates tissue regeneration, making it a great treatment for scars (especially acne scars), as new collagen fibers elevate the depressed scar tissue in line with the peripheral skin. This procedure provides a smoother texture and reduces scarring after just a few treatments. It is ideal to reduce signs of aging, acne scarring, and pigmentation. As microneedling is suitable for any part of the body and all skin types, it can be used to reduce stretch marks and cellulite also.

How long should it take before I see results? 

Typically, you will see results after the first treatment. Lasting and more significant results will become visible after 3 to 6 treatments (spaced 2-8 weeks apart). The condition of your skin will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months after a course of treatments, especially when combined with the recommended post-treatment care. 

Is there any downtime after treatments? 

Generally no, but you may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Most people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment

What Should I Avoid On My Skin After Treatment?

To ensure the right healing environment, for 2-3 days do not use AHAs (glycolic acid), retinol, acidic, or active ingredients. Exposure to sun should also be avoided, zinc-based sunblock should be used.

What Is The Compound Applied To The Skin?

The compound applied to the skin is hyaluronic acid, which moisturizes the skin, restores its internal environment, and helps maintain natural functions in the skin. Vitamins and inorganic salts improve microcirculation, cellular respiration, and nutrient exchange. It also contains amino acids which are the building blocks for synthesis of protein structures inside existing cells, as well as for creation of new cells. It also stimulates the activity of fibroblasts and myofibroblasts, promoting growth of new cells.
